Coming out of high school, I personally faced a total lack of information regarding the process of matriculating into a four-year university. I took classes I didn't need, missed aid deadlines that potentially cost me thousands, and just felt lost in a setting I was so unfamiliar with. Community college in general felt like a placeholder that was missing valuable information to help me grow as a student.
My counselors, although certainly well-intentioned, lacked information that could have helped me significantly, and that's by no means a fault of their own. There just seemed to be a shortage of resources out there guiding students looking to transfer and steering them on the right course.
It was out of personal frustration that the idea for this platform was born, and I hope it can be of use to my peers and the students to come.
